Nick Bayley is a graduate student researcher pursuing a Ph.D. in the Bioinformatics Interdepartmental Program at UCLA, co-mentored by Drs. Thomas Graeber and David Nathanson. He received his B.S. degree from Stanford University majoring in Biology with a concentration in Computational Biology. His research focuses on multi-omic profiling of glioma patient tumors and derived model systems using bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing, whole-exome sequencing, and mass spectrometry-based metabolomic and lipidomic profiling. He is working on a project unveiling the impact of the brain tumor microenvironment on tumor-intrinsic molecular programs and growth phenotypes through comparisons of model systems to their parent tumors. In his free time Nick enjoys running, hiking, soccer, and pickleball.
