Jonathan Tsang is a graduate student in the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology. He received his B.S. degree in Chemical Biology at UC Berkeley, and worked under Dr. Judith Klinman studying protein kinetics. During the following year, he worked to develop liquid biopsy diagnostic assays for KRAS mutations at Roche. He is currently studying EGFR signaling in glioblastoma (GBM) and how EGFR can impact the initiation and development of GBM. In collaboration with Professor Michael Jung, he is also developing novel, brain-penetrant EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) that can be used to treat GBM.
