Ivan Khoroz is a research associate working on pre-clinical studies in our Drug Development program. He completed his undergraduate degree at CSU Northridge in Microbiology. He worked under Dr. Melissa Takahashi, studying antibiotic resistance in bacteria and developing treatments to combat antibiotic resistance mechanisms. His background is microbiology, synthetic biology and animal and human cell culture. He is currently working on the development of molecular mechanisms relate to the resistance of EGFR- targeted therapy and Glioblastoma (GBM). The goal of the research is to identify drug resistance mechanisms in GBM and overcome them. He is passionate about helping in the development of treatments that can help people in need.
